Untold Tales of Bigfoot: Ghosts and Monsters page 2007

A lot of Bigfoot’s days are spent like this — strolling through the forest, enjoying life, greeting (and terrifying) the other woodland creatures, and grabbing some grub for himself and his best bud, Scout. But, much like the last book, things are going to change dramatically for the big guy soon. Tune in next week to see how.

I’ll Be At CXC In Columbus on September 29

For three precious hours (2 to 5) on Saturday, September 29th, I’ll be sitting in at the National Cartoonists Society Table at the Cartoon Crossroads Columbus 2018! CXC is a four-day comics, arts, and animation festival that is — get this — free to attend!

Check that link to see all the amazing people that are going to be there (Darrin Bell, Brian Michael Bendis, Lynn Johnston, Richie Pope — the list goes on). I’m making the drive mostly to check out the other exhibitors and enjoy the festival, but from 2 to 5 on the 29th, I’ll be glued to that NCS table (table #55 on the second floor of the Columbus Metropolitan Library), peddling my wares. So stop by and say hi!

Monsters In Ohio

To prepare for my trip to Columbus, I thought I’d check out the local monster scene and see what kind of sightings I might expect. Good gravy! Apparently, Ohio is just lousy with monsters! Dog men! Frog men! Bog men! And yes, even Bigfoot! If you’re heading out to CXC at the end of the month, or even just visiting Ohio soon, take a look at this list of cryptids you may spot on your trip.

Thanks for reading! See you next week! -v

  1. Great views—feels like I’m in the forest (but not terrified)! Can’t wait til next week to see what you’ve thought up for our reading pleasure and excitement!

    • Yeah, I enjoyed doing this page. If I didn’t think the readers would riot and come after me with pitchforks, I’d have done three or four of these ‘do nothing day” pages in a row. -v

  2. For driving through Ohio, good idea to put your stand-up Bigfoot in the passenger seat. Stay safe and come back with a great next episode!

  3. Ah, Bigfoot. Such a gentle soul…

Hey! That Bullywug was the strangest looking one of all, but the creepiest was the Mill Lake Monster.

    • So, the Mill Lake Monster is armless, they say, and that’s creepy for sure, but… I feel like, if you were chased by a monster, you’d stand half a chance of escaping if the monster didn’t have arms, right? Gosh, I hope so. -v
