When last we met, Bigfoot was lonely, Scout was scared, and they’d unknowingly landed just inches from each other, deep in the forest. And if you thought there’d be a heartwarming, cathartic hug this week, then I really twisted the knife, didn’t I? Sorry.
Sometimes loneliness or fear can bring people together. But it’s gonna take just a little more to bring these two closure. But hey, look! Scout’s hungry and there’s a raccoon nearby foraging for food. Maybe this will be that heartwarming union you’ve been waiting for. I, however, will get a better grip on that knife.
For those of you who might want a soundtrack to this week’s page, I like to imagine Grieg’s Morning or the dreamy part of Rossini’s William Tell Overture playing as the sun creeps slowly across Scout’s muzzle. Anyway, that’s what I do for fun.
Thanks to all of you who come back, week after week, to read, comment on, or share the comic. I really appreciate that. Remember to follow this blog (through your email or WordPress) to enter the drawing for the Scout Sketch Card giveaway! -v

Uh oh. Somebody is hungry.
I know. I feel bad. Maybe I’ll draw a picture of Scout eating a big, double-cheeseburger and stare at it until I feel better. -v
Watch out, puppy, a hungry coon was mean enough to scratch the nose of my Akita and was quick enough to make a getaway.
Ouch! Hope your Akita made it through at ok. -v
