Untold Tales of Bigfoot: Crossing Paths page004

Admittedly, things are looking bad for Scout and bleak for Bigfoot. Hope all this drama leads to a sweet payoff… if I decide to have a sweet payoff, that is. Who knows? I could very well end the comic on a real downer. That sounds like something a jerk like me would do. Anyway, thanks for coming back every week to check in on Bigfoot and Scout. It’s comforting to know they have friends.

Speaking of drama, that dark, foreboding shadow that falls over Scout could’ve been handled in a few different ways. But when I was laying out this page, I still wasn’t sure whether Untold Tales of Bigfoot would be in black-and-white or color. Obviously, I decided on color. But I really liked the drama of that deep, dark shadow so I left it in.-v

Untold Tales of Bigfoot is for grown-ups and kids. Let’s keep the comments appropriate.

  1. A little depressing right now.

    • Isn’t it, though? Sweet, sweet agony. That’s an effect of the page-a-week format of webcomics. Waiting for the resolution can be tortuous. I imagine if they’d stopped the projector right after Simba’s father was trampled in that stampede [SPOILER ALERT] and told us all to come back to the theatre a week later, I’d have languored in a state of despondency until I could see the story through to the end. But that’s what makes the ending all the more sweet. You know, the ending where Simba turns out to be a transforming robot who seeks nuclear-fueled vengeance on Scar and the hyena henchmen [SPOILER ALERT]. Stick with it. The sun, almost assuredly, always rises. -v

  2. Wait. Simba got trampled? I thought he was trapped in a time dilation field and transported to a parallel universe.

    • That sounds about right. Simba’s father is alive and well and living in an alternate universe with Cinderella’s father. That makes total sense. -v

  3. It seems there’s some dust in my eye. D:

    • This is exactly the kind of dust we’re hoping for. Unless, of course, it’s actual dust…in that case, go rinse your eye. Healthy eyes are important.

Thanks for commenting! Hope you like the story! -v

      • Planning on archive bingeing soon, that’s for sure! (This is Marisa, founder of WU, btw.) 😀

      • Oh great! Hope you enjoy the story. Love your website. So much content! I have to plan some archive binging myself soon! -v
