“Sweet Baby Corn,” by the way, is an expression I’ve been using for years after seeing a hand-painted sign for it at a local farmers’ market. Sweet Baby Corn! the sign read and it instantly seemed like more of a quirky interjection than an advertisement. Fun Fact: I did not buy any corn that day. Thanks for reading.-v

Hi Beth. Top marks for being the first comment. I know I’d be in shock too if I were in Scout’s position. Then panic would set in. Maybe Scout can still catch up to the minivan. And, for the record, I believe both “schmo” and “schmoe” are accepted spellings. Extra points for the first bilingual comment. -v
